Chicago

If you've been keeping up with me on Instagram, you'd know I travelled to Chicago, IL recently. Here is a little peak into my trip-and Although it was only for a few days, the city instantly became one of my favorite cities in the US. It was oddly different than my home city- New York. Chicago was more slow-paced, and less busy. (aka no people knocking you over to cross the street.) The food was another favorite part, since the city is smaller then NYC it's easier to go through a lot of the famous restaurants. Giordano's Deep-dish pizza, I thoroughly miss you. When it comes to the city as a whole, I enjoyed the less crowded streets, and miss it wholeheartedly.

Sometimes its important to explore your own country- a 1 and a half hour flight could take you somewhere you never thought you'd have expected.

DAY 1

 WHAT I WORE:

white coat: inayah / mom jeans: zara / embroidered flats: khaadi

WHERE I WENT:

Sprinkles Cupcakes, where I had the most delicious red velvet cupcake, ever. Also, I need a cupcake ATM in my house, ASAP.

DAY 2.

WHAT I WORE:

frayed jeans: zara / white tee: nordstrom / denim jacket: uniqlo / shoes: vans / scarf: veiled beaut / sunnies: raybans

 WHERE I WENT:

Green Street Smoked Meats: Their Brisket was Halal, and it was the best piece of meat I've ever had in my life. They also had this spiced corn that I am determined to learn how to make. (If i had the time.) The outdoor area was beautifully rustic, it made perfect setting to relax and get your grub on.

The Allis at Soho House: Many people recommended this beautiful place to me. It was a little overhyped and If I'm going to be honest, the food menu was a little overrated, BUT- it does make a gorgeous setting to get away from the city, relax and have coffee by yourself or with friends. The decor and setting is impeccable, and surely something out of my Pinterest dreams.

BomboBar: This hole in the wall place made my dessert dreams come true. 10/10 worth the hype, I promise. I opted for a fruity pebble donut filled with vanilla ice cream- and I'm seriously still thinking about it.

DAY 3

 WHERE I WENT:

Chicago Riverwalk: My favorite spot to walk in in the mornings and nights. The water was so peaceful, and there were little cafe's with coffee, ice cream, and and little snack to grab as you enjoyed your walk.

SkyDeck Chicago: for a perfect view of the city.

DAY 3

WHAT I WORE:

shoes: vans // sunglasses: profound co // beanie: 5ive Pillars

WHERE I WENT:

The Bean, Millenium Park: this place tends to be a little crowded, so the best is to go early morning, seeing it completely empty adds to the experience- and makes better for your dream photo op.
